Here’s my report of the JKT48 Music Video Launch and Handshake Event on the 14th January 2012 at fX Lifestyle X’nter at Senayan.

JKT48 MV Launch and Handshake – 14th January 2012


During the day of the event, i arrived at the scene at around 11am in the morning, because they announced around 2 hours before that they will be selling photosets since 10am in the morning….so no choice but got to arrive early. Once i arrived there, i quickly queue for the photosets. I bought 5 sets, and just lucky i got one wild card , which allows me to take picture with JKT48 haha xD

Photos Trading…


After that i did some trading with fellow fans, and i managed to trade some of my doubles with Sonya (panda), for my friends in Singapore.

Traded around until i got 4 Sonya Photos haha

There are some people wondering why i have so many Sonya, because in the end i got 4 Photos of her LoL. But really ,its for my friends in Singapore, haha.

From my observation, Nabila Photo is one of the rare ones, and Ghaida, Rena is also amost the most “wanted” list. Luckily Sonya is not really that wanted yet (or maybe i am just lucky lol

The MV launch and event

So after waiting for the event to start, the JKT48 girls appears on the stage, followed by JKT48 overture, and a live performance of Aitakatta.

After their performance, it’s time for some members introduction and their catchphrases. To be honest, it’s really funny to hear some of the member’s catchphrase lol….and when that finished…they finally shown the MV for JKT48′s Heavy Rotation on the big screen.

The Music Video in my opinion….is really good. Maybe because i had low expectation for it, but the Music Video at least got some standard, and the school they use for it (i heard it’s UPH/universitas Pelita Harapan, but please correct me if i am wrong) looks kinda awesome haha.

The Cinematography also damn nice, i think they really spend alot effort doing this video, which is damn good. I did record the music video using my camera, but the quality crap, and my internet speed is very slow here in Jakarta, so i suggest you wait for the JKT48 side to officially release the Music video (on youtube or something haha).

After the Music Video finished, they also showed the making video for it, followed by a talk session, and then…a live performance of Heavy Rotation !

Group Photo session + Handshake Session

After the performance, the MC called all the “wildcard” winners to go to the stage to get their pictures taken with the JKT48 members. i was one of the lucky ones to get their pictures taken with the JKT48, and i also would like to thank to one of the official photographer for helping me taking the pictures with my own DSLR. And after the group photo is done…its time for handshake session.

There are over 20+ Girls so i didnt really prepare anything to say to them, except to the ones i know (Sonya, Rena, MElody, Nabila). I told Sonya that she is my oshi and that i fly from singapore for the event (well…part of it is true…i really did fly from singapore lol)…and she was happy, and asked me to hi-five with her haha. Rena is also very kind too. The rest of the girls…i only handshake with them with simple “terima kasih” gesture before i moved on.


And oh, forgot to mention, there are 2 sessions, and my handshake is during the first session. Both sessions are the same, but i feel the chant during the live performances during the 2nd session is more high and loud lol. Also, there’s “Encore” performance after the 2nd session, and they went on to sing Heavy Rotation again…lol…so total they did the Heavy Rotation performances three times….xD

Anyways, that is my report of the event for now…if i remember something i will try to add it up. Also stay tuned as i will be uploading more pictures from the event !!!
